Default Create Your Own PvP Templates

Now that PvP has picked up again I am constantly making new builds to test around with. Due to the limited number of character slots I propose that there be a way to save the build of your PvP only character and add it to the template list already available. This would be an account based feature which would allow for easy creation of a character.

Say you come up with an especially good build and want an easy way to remake it. This feature ingame would allow you to save the current build under a name, and add a description, just like it is for the premades.

The character would have the exact same armor, weapons, runes, rune placement, skills, skill order, and stats as the build you used when saving that character. You can update it by doing the same thing, going to save and clicking on that build, and overwriting it.

Now you may say I am lazy and do not want to write down a build, but this is actually a useful idea. Instead of having a prot. and a healign pvp monk, leave one slot for a monk character. Just create a PvP only character and select the template you made for your prot. monk and it's already set up for you.

It's convenience really. Saves the time or trouble of remembering stat layouts or skill combos. This would really help since the game is free and the likelihood of the number of slots increasing is very low.

How about having four slots of RP characters and four slots of PvP characters. Essentially the same thing, but you get a few more RP character slots.

basically, yeah, like the premades we have now

We can't have that many slots because it costs too much to Anet. We would have to pay a monthly fee.

This exact idea was suggested about a week ago. It's a good idea, something needs to be done with the limited character space. I just deleted my w/e who was all the way through the game because I needed the space. I didnt want to delete him, but I needed a slot for my pvp character.

I would just go drop 40 bucks on another game if I wouldnt have to unlock everything there. Im half tempted to anyhow, Im tired of the space issues. This idea would help, it wouldnt solve the problems but its a start.

That's why Anet won't fix it - they hope you'll buy another account for more space

Bumped for people in another thread where this was mentioned.

Thanks for support, hopefully the idea will catch on.

This is a pretty good idea. I only have one PvP slot and if I want to test something out, I have to delete my current PvP character each time.
